High waisted, low legged and exactly the kind of underwear your mom might have bought in a three-pack at Sears in 1974. The opposite of complicated and best made out of breathable cotton. They have full coverage in the back that make them perfect pajama bottoms when it's the middle of summer and anything more feels oppressive. Perfect straight out of the shower when you're padding around the house with wet hair and no real plans. Slightly retro, completely essential.

Fabric Recommendation

This pattern was created for knit fabrics with minimum 40% stretch in circumference and at least 5% spandex; jersey, interlock, tricot. However, we believe you can make everything out of anything, feel free to contact us for advice if you're feeling adventurous.

    So comfy!

    I’ve sewn three pair of Daughter Judy undies in the last couple days and have to say they are the most comfy underpants I’ve ever worn! Thank you for the great pattern. I have tweaked the pattern just a bit to provide a more custom fit to my body, but the pattern gave me a wonderful foundation to start from. I’ll be making more!!!

    Best Pattern Ever!

    I feel so powerful right now -- thanks to the Stage Brief pattern, I've completed two pairs of underwear and it's honestly my new favorite thing. The pattern is so thoughtfully designed, but also easy to tweak to make customizations for your particular body type. I highly recommend the pattern as is, but it's also a great springboard! Buy it -- you will not regret it and soon you'll wonder why you ever purchased mass-produced, uncomfy underwear.
