Rebel Jumpsuit

Rebel Jumpsuit

The Rebel is ample and oversized but in all the right ways. Wide legs for movement, micro shirring for added texture and a belt that can pull it all together if that's your vibe. In a hammered silk it can take you from "just drinks" that turns into dinner and in a washed linen you can comfortably work from home while still having gotten dressed. And yes, someone will say "i love your dress" and you will get to say "thanks, it's actually a jumpsuit" with a slight smirk.

Fabric Recommendation

This pattern was created for mid weight woven fabrics; shirting/poplin/linen for an everyday look or silk/viscose/cupro for a slinkier look. Depending on the thickness of your main fabric you might way to consider a lighter weight material for self bias tape. However, we believe you can make everything out of anything, feel free to contact us for advice if you’re feeling adventurous.

    Favourite jumpsuit hands down

The jumpsuit was a nice sew. The hardest part for me was getting that keyhole looking non-amateurish and not puckered. The jumpsuit turned out looking so great I immediately bought more fabric to sew another one.

About sizing - this is definitely generously sized so it’s easy to go smaller. I made it in a poplin and found that cinching in the waist with a belt changed it from looking too big to oversized. I am already an XS so couldn’t size down, but if in between sizes I think it wouldn’t be a problem to size down.

    A new favourite make

I really enjoyed making this jumpsuit - I learned a lot along the way, but also came away with a make that is a new favourite. The process of sewing it up was smooth, and just involved enough to be interesting but not so much that it was at all stressful. I made it out of a soft, fluid cotton and it's incredibly comfortable, but also feels very chic to put on. Have a few more planned!
