The Rama Top is for when you want the tailored energy of a vest but none of the commitment (read: buttons, structure, complicated layering). It’s loose and slouchy with a deep vee giving just the right amount of collarbone. Sharp, a little subversive, entirely unfussy.

 

Our patterns come in PDF format for use at home, copy shop or projecting with both size ranges included. The DD range comes in sizes XS - XXL and the JJ range comes in sizes 1X - 5X.

This pattern is available in 2 size ranges; DD XS-XXL and JJ 1X-5X.

Chloe is wearing a size S from the DD size range in a 3oz Linen. Her measurements are: 32"/25"/35" at 5'9".

Gabby is wearing a size 1X from the JJ size range in a Cheetah Viscose Jacquard from Lyrical Fabrics in color Espresso. Her measurements are: 42"/36"/46" at 5'8"

Fabric Recommendation

This pattern was created for light to mid weight woven fabrics: shirting, linen, silk, etc. However, we believe you can make everything out of anything. Feel free to contact us for advice if you’re feeling adventurous.

    Rama top

    The perfect v. Demure and flattering. An easy but satisfying pattern. Will use a lighter interfacing next time. Yes I’m going to make this loads of time. Also I’m looking foward to making this into a dress for next summer.

    Versatile pattern

    I’ve mostly been wearing my Rama Top as a sleeveless this summer, but tried it with a big tee and other shirts underneath and it works as a vest too, so I’ll be able to wear it in other seasons . I made no modifications, using my bust measurement for my size. The directions were clear and enjoyed sewing this simple but well drafted pattern. I made the top in a lightweight fabric. I’ll be making more, next time in a midweight fabric.

    Another stunner

    Looking forward to my fabric arriving for this top. Made a toile and its accurate to the size chart and was simply to follow. Love the neat finishing and quiet details.
