The Thompson Coat Lining is an expansion that accompanies the Thompson Coat for a cleaner internal finish. Both views are included along with the pieces for the hood option.

 

Our patterns come in PDF format for use at home, copy shop or projecting with both size ranges included. The DD range comes in sizes XS - XXL and the JJ range comes in sizes 1X - 5X.

Size & Fit

This pattern is available in 2 size ranges; DD XS-XXL and JJ 1X-5X

Gabby is wearing View A in a size 1X from the JJ size range in the a nylon twill from Mood. Her measurements are: 42"/36"/45" at 5'8".

Malak is wearing View B in a size S from the DD size range in a cotton twill. Her measurements are; 34"/26"/37" at 5'8".

    Not for the faint hearted

    The lining pattern I'm sure works but I can't figure out from instructions how to attach it to the main body. The only instructions for this complex step is: "Bring body and lining right sides together setting lining into facing border." I love the Thompson Coat but indeed unfortunate for the price required for this add on that the instructions aren't comprehensible

    Good pattern

    This is a great addition to the Thompson Coat but it's a shame it's not included. Both patterns together cost £23 and then I had to pay for 2 patterns to be printed which was £8.50 so it made for a very costly purchase and I thought about it for a couple of months before purchasing. However, it is a good pattern for my body shape and I have no complaints about the drafting.

    Excellent addition to an excellent coat

    I loved how my Thompson coat turned out and was so happy to line it. I found the instructions a little confusing and wished there was a video to refer to, but I figured it out and couldn't be happier!

    So glad I made this - and with the lining too. The sleeves are the coolest. The length and fit are perfection.
