The Teague is what happens when easy gets interesting. Up top we have a single piece that wraps around you generously but not sloppyily. Down below you've got a slim fit skirt that hugs enough to wear to a dinner that involves linen napkins, but chill enough for a corner store run. Joined together at the waist to create peek-a-boo side cutouts for a casual reveal.

 

Our patterns come in PDF format for use at home, copy shop or projecting with both size ranges included. The DD range comes in sizes XS - XXL and the JJ range comes in sizes 1X - 5X.

This pattern is available in 2 size ranges; DD XS-XXL and JJ 1X-5X

Chloe is wearing View A in a size S from the DD size range in a Heavy Ponte. She is wearing View B in a size XS from the DD size range in a Rayon stretch woven. Her measurements are; 32"/25"/35" at 5'9".

Gabby is wearing View A in a size 1X from the JJ size range in a Cotton Pique. Her measurements are: 42"/36"/45" at 5'8"

Fabric Recommendation

This pattern was created for knit fabrics with minimum 20% stretch in circumference; jersey/interlock/spandex blend. Or try a stretch woven with similar minimum stretch. However, we believe you can make everything out of anything, feel free to contact us for advice if you’re feeling adventurous.

    Beautiful Dress and Easy Sew

    Rated 4 stars instead of 5, as I did struggle to figure out the construction of the stop as it was not clear which parts to join to make the horizontal seam on the back. Otherwise though the end product is an amazing dress which can easily go from casual to dressy.

    One issue in an otherwise fantastic dress pattern

    I sewed the tea dress after seeing it a few times and being really attracted to the shape and design. I love this dress. I sewed it in a really stretchy knit.

    My only issue is that I interfaced the waist pieces and I can barely get the dress down over my chest. It’s so snug that I don’t even need elastic for it to sit on my waist properly. If I sew it again, which I likely will because I think it’s really cute, I would skip the interfacing altogether and just use elastic.

    I might also size down in the top so it’s a little less oversized.
