The Brier a classic sailor cut pant minus all those buttons. They are slightly cropped (just enough to show off a good shoe or a bare ankle) with a clean, wide leg that's both tailored and relaxed. The real moment is in the trapunto topstitching on the waistband that give structure and "I have good taste" energy. Thoughtfully built to follow the body, not fight it, so you can get that clean iconic look and a fit that makes sense.

Our patterns come in PDF format for use at home, copy shop or projecting with both size ranges included. The DD range comes in sizes 0 - 20 and the JJ range comes in sizes 16 - 34.

    Great pattern

Love this pattern! I used it to create a pair of jorts. They fit perfectly and I am already planning a full length pair for the fall. There were a couple of steps in the instructions that I had to keep re-checking because it felt like I was missing something, but I got it figured out without issue.

    Definitely recommend!

I am so please with this pattern and how my final pair of pants turned out! The instructions are so good and easy to follow. I have never been able to install a zipper so nicely and easily. If you are unsure about this pattern please don't be, it's worth it! I have so many more pairs planned!

    I love these pants!!

I would stand up and defend the DJ base block + crotch curve in a court of law. If you, like me, never met a pants pattern that didn’t make you weepy with frustration - try this one!! The drafting is just that good. Sewing these pants makes me really, really happy. Long live DJ!

    Great trouser

Loved sewing these pants , although the fly zipper threw me for a loop even after 50+years if experience. Would love to see a tutorial on the brier pant as I had to look for alternatives which was not always the best.
