The Adams are the pant you throw on when you don't know what the day holds. Our take on the classic painter pant, they're relaxed with an easy fit and just the right amount of structure. The large front pockets can handle your keys, phone and wallet leaving the darted back pockets open for whatever else you may need to carry. Choose between a zipper or buttons for the front fly closure. If you can't decide between them you may just need to make two pairs, one with each option. These can easily be sized down for a closer fit or add a tab and buckle at the back waist.

Our patterns come in PDF format for use at home, copy shop or projecting with both size ranges included. The DD range comes in sizes 0 - 20 and the JJ range comes in sizes 16 - 34.

    First pant

I totally recommend this garment. It was my first (sewing) pant. I am very satisfied. I had a bit trouble sewing the zip, I'm still not sure about which is the easiest way to do it. The sewing process was like a zen sewing retreat for me! I really enjoyed the process of making it. I made the elasticated version: super comfort to wear.

    Love these pants!

I am so so happy with these pants. These are the first pair of structured pants I have made (previous makes have just been elastic waistband) but I found the construction of these totally doable (although I did get just slightly lost in the instructions sometimes, but nothing that a more experienced sewist couldn't figure out). I made the size 24 which was a little bit big for me and I will scale down to a size 22 next time -- I have already started my next pair. As a plus-size person a good-fitting pant is not easy to come by, and even on my first attempt these have to be the best fitting pants I have ever worn! Cannot recommend enough. I suspect I will be making and recommending these pants for years to come.

    Will make many more!

    Muslined following my measurements.

    No modifications were necessary.

Used a 12oz denim for the pants.

Front pockets are deep and generous and the back pockets are the most amazing!

The style is cool and super comfy!

    Great instructions!

Yay, finally made these pants! Instructions were very good. Even though these were my third pair of pants ever and I've never made anything with the zipper before, I'm very happy with the results. Highly recommend!
