If the title didn’t tip you off…Welcome to The BULLETIN Board! A monthly, ever evolving newsletter from Daughter Judy. More specifically from me, Chelsea, employee number 1 aka the founder.

I’ve been wanting to create a space out of which all the ‘things’ flowed and had been trying to figure out what would be most helpful to you (dear reader) and also what was attainable for myself. Did I achieve it? We shall see…

Here you’ll find pattern announcements (scroll down if you just want the goods), tester calls, hacks, styling, recommendations, etc. PLUS 2 new video series that will be launching this summer. The first is Ask JUDY, a quarterly advise type vid where you can ask any and all things related to Daughter Judy patterns specifically, home sewing generally or other non sewing related questions curiously. More details below.

The second (which I’m very excited about) is Home EC. I will deep dive into current Daughter Judy patterns and show you how to work through the trickier bits. Personally I find sew alongs to be, well…boring (sorry) and sometimes it’s hard to describe action through words and pictures. So I hope these shorter/sharper videos help you through some of the tougher parts.

Now to what’s on deck…

The TEAGUE Dress is launching next Wednesday June 21st!!

The photos have been shot, the instructions are done (almost), the files are ready and so this new take on a t-shirt dress will be available in one teeny tiny week.

More details to come at the full release but if you’re ready to shop or dig in your stash, this pop over dress was drafted for knits and also does very well with stretch wovens.

I’m starting an advise “column” and it’s called Ask JUDY. I know my name isn’t Judy but it’s brand right and the 7 letters of ‘ask judy’ fit perfectly into a hotline number. (very 1990s or late 1900s as the *kids are calling it)

This series will be quarterly for free subscribers and monthly for paid. The format will be video and linked here to Youtube.

But for now hit me with your questions about fabric, patterns, tools, fitting, hacking, styling, etc. Even if your question isn’t sewing related I’m here to dispense advise.

And lastly the donation recipient for the month of June is ReMake, a global advocacy organization fighting for fair pay and climate justice in the clothing industry.

They are the Q2 recipient and so far we’ve raised $350 between April and May.
