Right now the social media algorithms are pumping out the PSL’s/fall decor/spooky season goodness but in reality we are staunchly in high summer. Tomatoes are peaking, the lakes are finally warm enough to swim in and many people are taking their summer vacation now. if you are ever in Positano, Italy, find the boat with the red fish and get on it! Summer also feels like peak hack season. I’ve seen many people chop the Adams/Coe/Worship and even the Isola into shorts. Someone extended the Vento to be a tank dress (brilliant!). And of course the Genra short sleeve chop takes the top spot of summer time hacking and why wouldn’t it. It was created with hot summers in mind. A shirt to throw on over a still wet bathing suit without the hassle of forcing that insta-worthy open-neck look. You know the picture, perfectly opened button-up exposing a freshly tanned chest. In reality this is harder to achieve. You can never get both sides to lay just right or one side works great and the other keeps getting blown back by the wind. This is not to say anyone is doing it wrong, just want to give a pattern makers POV.
